The Conductor™ Controls provide flexible and concise solid-state power control for inductive and resistive loads
below control current rating. They are used with Syntron® electromagnetic vibratory equipment including light duty
feeders and electromagnetic type bin vibrators.
The standard Conductor Control features adjustable soft-start, UL and CL rating, 50/60 Hz operation, and
select-able full/half-wave operation. Conductor Controls also feature minimum and maximum operation windowing adjustments (permitting greater linearity for specific applications).
The control board contains a manual potentiometer for controlling output from the vibrating equipment. If desired,
the Conductor Control is field select-able to accept a 4-20mA DC signal for feed control or for two rate of feed. A
0-5 volt DC external signal may also be used with modifications.
There are four Syntron® BF Vibrating Feeder models to choose from. These can be ordered with or without troughs.
Models
BF-01 gives you maximum feed control through instantaneous material flow cut-off. Rated at a maximum capacity of 5 tons per hour, when equipped with standard 6″ x 24″ trough. Other trough types and sizes are available. Since the electromagnetic drive is both dust-proof and splash-proof, it can be cleaned with steam or water without damaging the electrical components.
BF-2 offers the same innovative features as the smaller BF-01, but with a higher feeding capacity of 7-1/2 tons per hour when equipped with a standard 8″ x 30″ trough. Other trough types and sizes are available.
BF-3 a new addition to the existing line of products and a single drive solution for larger trough sizes. The BF-3 utilizes a sealed, sanitary design capable of handling a diverse range of feeding applications while providing solutions for industries such as food, pharmaceutical, material handling and packaging. Equipped with standard flat pan, mild steel 12″x 42″.
Benefits and Features of the BF-3
BF-4 and BF-4-LF
Combine electromagnetic reliability and a low profile, compact design with a long enough trough overhang and high product feed rate, and you have the foundation for an exceptional vibratory feeder. You’ll find all these advantages and more with FMC’s Syntron BF-4 Vibrating Feeder. The BF-4 provides fast, accurate, yet gentle feeding of a wide range of bulk materials from food products such as snacks and vegetables to other materials such as plastics and chemicals.
Because of its versatile design, the BF-4 is ideal for feeding various types of packaging and processing equipment, such as multi-head weigh scales and filling machines. It can also be used in modular distribution systems for transfer feeding. The BF-4 has a long trough overhang that reduces product degradation by allowing the feeder discharge to be positioned as close to the scale or transfer point as possible, thus minimizing product drop.
By incorporating a fully-adjustable stroke — up to .160 inches (4 mm) — the BF-4 easily handles difficult-to-feed products such as gummy candies, shredded lettuce and wet vegetables. It can achieve product travel speeds up to 50 feet (15 meters) per minute. Its simple, low-profile drive is an excellent solution for applications where space is limited; a single drive packs enough power to drive troughs up to ten feet long.
The Syntron BF-4 Feeder is also ideal for feeding, mixing, blending, batching and grinding applications, as well as for packaging and cold room applications. Continuous welds on stainless steel troughs provide extra sanitation for FDA or USDA applications.
Syntron® F Series Feeders are ideal for controlling bulk material flow in a variety of applications. There are five models to choose from. Technical information and specifications are provided in the F Series Feeder PDF below.
Light capacity Model F-T0 with standard 1-1/2″ x 12″ trough has a maximum capacity of 1,250 pounds per hour.* This dependable feeder is ideal for applications demanding top performance at budget prices. Common applications include metering small quantities of dry materials or conveying small parts.
Please specify either 115 or 230 volt, single phase, 50 or 60 cycle power. A step down transformer is required when operating voltage is 460 volts.
Model F-T01 with standard 3″ x 18″ trough has a maximum capacity of 2 tons per hour.*
Please specify 115 or 230 volt, single phase, 50 or 60 cycle power. A step down transformer is required when operating voltage is 460 volts.
The Syntron® F-T02 feeder comes with all the standard features and benefits you’ve come to rely on from Syntron light capacity feeders, PLUS a higher stroke (.090 inches) that yields twice the travel speed of other Syntron units. The F-T02 is ideal for a whole range of applications, including high-stroke scale feeding, hard to feed materials, and traditional bulk feeding from hoppers. The Syntron F-T02 feeder with standard 6 x 18-inch flat pan trough has a maximum capacity of ten tons per hour.■ Wider troughs handle larger capacities.
Model F-010 with standard 5″ x 20″ trough is designed with a dust tight electromagnetic drive, and has a maximum capacity of four tons per hour.*
Specify 115 or 230 volt, single phase, 50 or 60 cycle power. A step down transformer is required when operating voltage is 460 volts.
With a capacity of 12 tons per hour, Model F-152 carries heavier troughs and greater head loads than the Model BF-2. This unit is commonly used in blending, mixing and packaging operations.
*Feed rate based upon granular material weighing 100 pounds per cubic foot and feeder with standard flat pan.
Models V-2 and V-4 are two of the smallest continuous-duty industrial vibrators available. These versatile vibrators can be controlled electrically with a separate controller. When vibrators are used without a controller, they can be mechanically controlled by turning an easily accessible adjusting screw. Flexibility and ease of installation are common to both models.
Standard models operate at 7200 v.p.m. on straight A.C., but increased amplitude can be obtained at 3600 v.p.m. by using rectified A.C. power. The Model V-4 can be supplied with a dust-tight case.
V-9 and V-20 models are compact in size, and their 3600 v.p.m. pack enough vibratory “punch” to excel in a wide range of applications. Each is available with a separate dust-tight case.
Typical applications for the above models include installations on small bins, handling lightweight materials, or in counting, sorting or packaging operations.
V-41 is a “cushioned” impact version which utilizes a rubber striking block. The high power/low noise characteristics make this ideal for confined areas with nearby workers. Dust-tight and water-proof construction are standard.
Models V-50, V-85 and V-180 are “solid” impact type vibrators. These units use a metal striking block to produce positive impact.
